BMC Med. 2024;22(1):5. Regulatory bodies, health systems, and researchers are continuously investigating methods to ensure safe opioid prescribing for patients with chronic pain. This study engaged clinicians, pharmacists, and independent prescribers to evaluate opioid prescribing scenarios and rate them as inappropriate, uncertain, or appropriate.
