AHRQ Stats: Use of High Blood Pressure Medications and Medical Visits In 2021–22, 74.5 percent of U.S. adults diagnosed with or treated for high blood pressure received medications for that condition, including 56.5 percent who also had medical visits for high blood pressure and 18.0 percent who received medications without any visits.
