Prehospital EMS Blood Transfusion and Fluid Interventions for Hemorrhagic Shock: This systematic review is intended to serve as a resource for the development of evidence-based prehospital care guidelines, protocols, and related policies. The intended audience includes EMS agency administrators, policymakers at the Federal, State, and local level; guideline development committees, emergency medicine specialists, trauma care providers, and prehospital clinicians who manage patients with hemorrhagic shock in diverse operational environments. Prehospital EMS Blood Transfusion and Fluid Interventions for Hemorrhagic Shock (Available for comment until September 18, 2025) The objective of the systematic review is to assess the effectiveness and potential harms of blood transfusion and fluid interventions for hemorrhagic shock in the prehospital setting. This work is sponsored by the National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration, Department of Transportation, and is intended to serve as a resource for the development of evidence-based prehospital care guidelines, protocols, and related policies.
