Massachusetts House Approves Bill Relaxing Rules On Late-Term Abortion
The legislation would allow doctors to determine whether an abortion is warranted after 24 weeks of pregnancy. Current state law outlines exceptions for late-term abortions, but "there is no way to encompass every possible exception,” said Rep. Christine Barber, a Democrat. The state Senate will vote on the measure by the end of next week.
