Today it means supplements, colonics, carnivore diets, and concoctions marketed by influencers and other grifters ripping off an unsuspecting public. But it shouldn’t be the price that panics us—rather, it’s the misinformation marketed in a bottle, sometimes to the consumer’s danger, and the cost to society.
