Webinar on Wellness and Prevention Programs: Emerging Trends

CDC’s Public Health Law Program and the American Health Lawyers Association are cosponsoring the final webinar in a three-part series on The Intersection of Public Health and Healthcare: Emerging Trends in Health System Transformation and the Law. This webinar will explore emerging trends in the development of wellness and prevention programs in hospitals and healthcare facilities, and highlight the role of these programs in improving the health of the healthcare workforce. Speakers will describe federal standards for workplace wellness programs, including standards related to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act. Speakers also will offer practical tips for avoiding legal problems and financial risk that can arise when a company develops a corporate wellness program. This free webinar will take place July 18, 2018, 2:00–3:30 pm (EDT), and will include a live question and answer session.
