FDA announces recall of curry tainted with lead

Two kinds of curry powder are being recalled after lab testing found a high level of lead in the spices. UBC Food distributors is pulling the products, which were purchased from an importer, from store shelves. Less than 20 cases of the curry powder were shipped to a handful of states: Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Missouri, and Colorado. The FDA says it’s now working to contact the source of the product so it can address the issues that led to the lead contamination.
