Director, Scientific Review Program

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases is seeking an exceptional and visionary leader to be the director, Scientific Review Program (SRP), Division of Extramural Activities (DEA). The SRP director oversees peer review activities performed at NIAID and serves as principal advisor to the DEA director in the areas of peer review policies and processes, as well as conflicts of interest.

The position requires an individual with a doctoral degree in the biological sciences; broad knowledge of the scientific areas within the NIAID mission (i.e., microbiology, immunology, infectious diseases); and extensive knowledge of the policies and procedures governing biomedical extramural research support.
