Resources to Support Wildfires Response & Recovery in Northern and Southern California

Disaster Information and Emergency Response

HHS Secretary Azar has declared a Public Health Emergency in California due to wildfires. This declaration provides HHS Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Servicesbeneficiaries and their healthcare providers and suppliers greater flexibility in meeting emergency health needs created by the wildfires. In addition,  regional emergency coordinators (RECs) have been deployed to coordinate with state and local health authorities and emergency response officials.
The National Network of Libraries of Medicine Pacific Southwest Region (NNLM PSR) has created a list of Resources to Support Wildfires Response & Recovery in Northern and Southern California. The list includes key national, state and county resources, and will be updated regularly.
Remember, the HHS Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration Disaster Distress Helpline provides 24/7, 365-day-a-year crisis counseling and support to people experiencing emotional distress related to natural or human-caused disasters.
