Nurses report high rates of burnout, harassment
A new poll of nurses nationwide finds that nurses often feel overworked and burned out — and nearly half of those surveyed said they've considered leaving the field in the past two years. Among the 900 nurses surveyed, 62 percent said they regularly felt burned out, and 44 percent said that had impacted their work performance. Another concerning finding: Nearly 40 percent of nurses reported being bullied or harassed at work during the last year.
