Join CMS for February 5 Webinar on MIPS Quality Performance Category in Year 3 (2019)
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is hosting a webinar on Tuesday, February 5 at 12:30 PM ET to provide an overview of the Quality performance category of the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) in Year 3 (2019) of the Quality Payment Program. We encourage existing MIPS participants, as well as clinicians who are new to MIPS in 2019, to join to learn more about how to participate in the Quality performance category.
During the webinar, CMS subject matter experts will provide information on topics, including:
- Participation and eligibility requirements for MIPS in 2019
- Quality performance category basics
- Data collection and scoring
- Preparing to submit 2019 Quality data
- Resources and support
CMS will answer questions about the MIPS Quality performance category from attendees at the end of the webinar as time permits.

Register for CMS’ Upcoming 101-Webinar on APMs in 2019
CMS is hosting a 101-level webinar on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM ET, which will provide a basic overview of Alternative Payment Models (APMs) for the 2019 Performance Year of the Quality Payment Program. This webinar is open to all interested participants; however, CMS encourages new clinician types, practice support staff, health care organizations, and other stakeholders that may be participating in an APM for the first time in 2019.
During the webinar, CMS subject matter experts will provide information that will help clinicians, care teams, and practice support staff to get started in an APM. These topics include:
- Background of the Quality Payment Program
- Advanced APMs, MIPS APMs, and All-Payer Other Payer Combination Options
- QP Determination and Performance Period
