It's Davos time.
The world’s wealthiest and wisest (and not-so-wisest) are currently congregating in the Swiss ski resort town — including many of the top names in health and the biosciences.
Among the top biopharma canoodlers are Novartis CEO Vasant Narasimhan, Moderna CEO Stephane Bancel, and Johnson & Johnson CSO Paul Stoffels — rubbing elbows with the likes of Bill Gates, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, and former CDC director Julie Gerberding.
The Trump administration, however, won’t be sending any representatives to the global thinkfest. NIH Director Francis Collins had planned to go, and even helped map out the scientific sessions — but canceled his trip thanks to the government shutdown.
