Source: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Office of Infectious Diseases (CDC OID). Published: 2/3/2020. This interim guidance, for U.S.-bound travelers and people located in the United States who may have been exposed to 2019-nCoV, was created to provide U.S. public health authorities and other partners with a framework for assessing and managing risk of potential exposures to 2019-nCoV, and implementing public health actions based on a person’s risk level and clinical presentation. It is effective as of February 3, 2020, and does not apply retrospectively to people who have been in China during the previous 14 days and are already in the United States, or those being managed as part of a contact investigation.
