HBCUs, HSIs, AANAPSIs, and TCUs: Apply now for the Minority Research Grant Program
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Office of Minority Health’s (CMS OMH) funding opportunity for researchers at minority serving institutions (MSIs) is closing soon. This funding opportunity will allow MSI faculty and students a way to build their portfolios while funding studies pertinent to the health care needs of racial and ethnic minorities, rural residents, people with disabilities, and the LGBTQ community. Two awards will be made to one or more eligible institutions.

Administered by CMS OMH’s Minority Research Grant Program (MRGP), the notice of funding opportunity grants researchers at minority serving institutions up to $250,000 to further health equity
research to better meet the health care needs of racial and ethnic minorities, rural residents, people with disabilities, and the LGBTQ community.
Eligible institutions include:
- Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)
- Tribal Colleges and Universities (HSI)
- Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISI)
- Hispanic-Serving Institutions (TCUs)
