Recovery LIVE! Changing the Conversation: Shared Decision-Making in Treatment and Recovery Support Service Settings
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Bringing Recovery Supports to Scale Technical Assistance Center Strategy (BRSS TACS) invites you to join an interactive discussion about how treatment and service providers and practitioners can use shared decision-making (SDM) practices and tools to support the engagement, recovery, and resilience of people with mental illness and substance use disorder.
Shared decision-making is an approach to partnering with individuals and families facing choices about their treatment and services. It honors the expertise of the person receiving services as well as that of the practitioners providing services, and facilitates productive conversations about treatment and service planning. Presenters will share practical strategies and web-based SDM tools and resources developed by SAMHSA to help you engage in meaningful dialogue and collaborative treatment decisions that meet the needs of people in or seeking recovery. Join us for this free, interactive virtual event moderated by Devin Reaves, BRSS TACS Subject Matter Expert. Register For The Virtual Event Registration will close 60 minutes before the event start time. Presenters: Wayne Centrone, Executive Director, Health Bridges International, Inc. Valerie Gold, Director, Technical Assistance and Training Programs, C4 Innovations Theopia Jackson, Chair, Clinical Psychology Degree Program, Saybrook University |
