NIAID’s Lab of Bacteriology Seeks Outstanding Scientists for a Tenure-Track/Tenure-Eligible Investigator Position

The NIAID Division of Intramural Research (DIR) is seeking an outstanding scientist for a tenure-track/tenure-eligible position to implement and direct an independent research program on the biology and pathogenesis of Borrelia burgdorferi in the Laboratory of Bacteriology (LB), located on NIAID’s Rocky Mountain Laboratories campus in Hamilton, Montana. 
The ideal candidate will have expertise in bacteriology and be expected to develop a vigorous basic research program with opportunities for translational and clinical studies. Collaborations with clinical investigators on the NIH main campus in Bethesda, Maryland, are strongly encouraged. Candidates must hold a Ph.D., D.V.M, M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field and have relevant postdoctoral experience. U.S. citizenship is not required.
Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae (CV), bibliography, and two- to three-page description of the proposed research program. Additionally, three letters of reference must be sent directly from the referees. Please include in your CV a description of mentoring and outreach activities in which you have been involved, especially those involving women and people from other groups underrepresented in biomedical research.
