AHRQ SOPS^® Program Updates During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Given COVID-19’s burden on the healthcare system, the AHRQ Surveys on Patient Safety Culture™ (SOPS^®) Program is providing information to help healthcare organizations:

• Make decisions about the administration of AHRQ SOPS Surveys
• Add custom or supplemental items, and
• Request technical assistance support. 

To provide flexibility for data submission, we note the following schedule adjustments:

• Data submission to the SOPS Hospital Database will occur October 1-30.
• Data submission to the SOPS Nursing Home Database is postponed until further notice.  

AHRQ is working to develop supplemental items around workforce safety, and aims to release these in September. Status updates will be provided via this listserv.
