Trans & Gender-Affirming Care ECHO

The Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board (NPAIHB) now invites healthcare providers to join the second phase of our Trans & Gender-Affirming Care ECHO. This virtual training curriculum will ensure registered providers have the resources they need to create affirming clinical environments and provide appropriate healthcare for gender-diverse patients. The sessions will include continuing education credits. Who:  Healthcare providers serving Native communities When: Adult-focused sessions: 4th Mondays at 2 PM ET, beginning October 26th, 2020 Pediatric-focused sessions: 2nd Mondays at 2 PM ET, beginning November 9th, 2020 The Trans & Gender-Affirming Care ECHO will:  review elements of affirming clinic environments for gender-diverse patients describe the basics of gender-affirming medical and social transition offer considerations for mental and sexual health of gender-diverse patients build skills for navigating gender-affirming care options with pediatric patients and their families.
