Medical Care for Adults with Down Syndrome

https://effectivehealthcare.ahrq.gov/products/care-adults-down-syndrome/protocol Medical Care for Adults with Down Syndrome (Available for submission until December 27, 2024) This systematic review will assess the benefits and harms of screening/diagnostic interventions and treatments for co-occurring medical conditions in adults with Down syndrome. The review will be used by the Global Down Syndrome Foundation to update their 2020 guidelines. This review will include the nine clinical areas previously examined and expand to additional clinical areas such as sleep apnea, solid tumors, blood cancers/leukemias, and vision to incorporate emerging evidence. The review will also address important contextual concerns related to prevalence and clinical presentation of these co-occurring medical conditions.
