Apply by Jan. 30 for CAUTI Cohort of HAI Prevention Program
Hospital recruitment continues through January for the catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) cohort of the AHRQ Safety Program for Healthcare-Associated Infection (HAI) Prevention. The free 9-month program, which begins in February, will refine current AHRQ toolkits for preventing CAUTI and two other HAIs to ensure the toolkits meet the needs of the current healthcare environment. Participating hospitals will receive several benefits, including reduced CAUTI rates, free expert consultation to promote infection prevention and patient safety, regular progress reports, enhanced teamwork and communication, and continuing education/continuing medical education units. Acute-care hospital intensive care units (ICUs) and non-ICUs are eligible. Register for one of the two final informational webinars scheduled for January 13 and 22. Learn more and apply for the program by January 30. Recruitment is open to all states. The program is especially interested in participants representing the Midwest, Northeast, and Northwest.
