Black Lung Surges To Near 50-Year High In Appalachian Miners
According to newly released data, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) found that rates of pneumoconiosis, or black lung, in the miners are the highest they have been since 1978. Also making news: Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa, Wyoming, New Hampshire, Maryland, North Carolina, and New York.
