Most Blood Work Does Not Require 8-Hour Fasting, New Research Shows
The study, published in JAMA Internal Medicine, showed that glucose and lactate were significantly lower per additional hour of fasting, while lipid results showed no change from more hours of fasting. The new findings support more targeted fasting requirements over a more standardized practice, MedPage Today reported.
