CAHPS Clinician & Group Survey: Preliminary Comparative Results


We are pleased to announce the release of Preliminary Comparative Data for the CAHPS Clinician & Group Survey. This report presents a preliminary comparative data for the 12-month version of the CAHPS Clinician & Group (C&G) Survey. Results are presented for the 6-point response scale version of the Adult and Child Primary Care Surveys and the 4-point response scale version of the Adult Primary Care and Specialty Care Surveys.

These results were compiled by the CAHPS Database, the national repository for data from the CAHPS family of surveys sponsored by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). This report represents the first effort to compile national comparison results for the CAHPS Clinician & Group Survey. New Data Submission and Reporting Schedule

We are now accepting new data submissions for both the 12-month and Visit versions of the C&G Survey through the CAHPS Database online submission system. The system will be open through December 15, 2010.

Comparative results will be presented on the CAHPS Database online reporting system in April 2011. Similar to the existing reporting system for CAHPS Health Plan Survey results, the C&G reporting system will present overall comparisons by region, patient population (adult and child), and by physician specialty categories (if a sufficient number of survey responses are received). A password-protected portal will enable survey users that submit data to view their own results compared to selected benchmarks. This feature will be available only to organizations submitting data.
