Next Wednesday, Dec. 12, is the 2012 ONC Annual Meeting, which will be held at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.

There will be hundreds of key stakeholders on hand including doctors, patients, techies, policymakers and health IT gurus — but you can join the meeting from the plush comfort of your office.

Through the joy of webcasting, anyone can tune into the meeting featuring National Coordinator Farzad Mostashari, the White House's Chief Technology Officer Todd Park, Dan Kraft, MD, U.S. Senator Mark Warner (D-VA), and Congressman Phil Gingrey (R-GA).

Among the highlights:
A stakeholder roundtable discussion, moderated by Todd Park, with Pacific Business Group on Health CEO David Lansky, Craig Sammit, CEO of Dean Health Systems, Bill Walsh, a senior advisor on AARP's health portfolio and Scott Whyte, VP of IT Connectivity for Dignity Health Systems.
 
A session on how technology can fuel achievement of the 3-part aim, and support a more sustainable, high quality health care delivery system. The discussion will feature George Halvorson, CEO of Kaiser Permanente, David Wennberg, MD, CEO Northern New England Accountable Care Collaborative at Health Dialog and Karen DeSalvo, MD, Health Commissioner, City of New Orleans.
