Stroke Systems of Care: Policy Evidence Assessment Reports |
On average, a stroke occurs every 40 seconds in the United States. Stroke systems of care improve patient care and support throughout the patient’s healthcare journey—from the first symptoms of stroke, EMS transport, and hospital care to follow-up with outpatient providers. State law could help scale up evidence-based interventions shown to increase the reach, consistency, and coordination of stroke care. Read recently released assessments of policy evidence to learn which 16 recommended stroke policy interventions are most effective. |
