Opportunities for Health Literacy Research Funding
In February the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality published a Special Emphasis Notice, communicating its funding priorities to potential applicants.
In Health Services Research Priorities for Achieving a High Value Healthcare System AHRQ encourages research applications to respond to the following specific areas:
- Patients as empowered consumers, including the use of price and quality information by patients to make informed decisions.
- Providers as accountable patient navigators, including shared decision-making and patient engagement.
- Payment for outcomes.
- Prevention of disease, including addressing social determinants of health.
