This 18-page report summarizes a rapid study that evaluated the effectiveness of information on Ebola in different languages and formats in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. It focused on residents living in Goma, the capital city of North Kivu Province. It found that risk communication materials for the Ebola response are not fully understood in Goma, particularly by women and older people; and key concepts related to prevention and treatment are misunderstood when the wrong language is used.
