Hospitals nationwide are finally making the move toward transferring increasing amounts of health data into the cloud to guard against malware attacks. The shift also allows them to take advantage of artificial intelligence to analyze data on patients and finances. But these hospitals aren’t just building massive pipelines to carry vast amounts of sensitive data — they are also carrying with them ambitions of major vendors such as Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure, all of which are jockeying to win contracts to host the hospitals’ data.
