TOPIC: Flooding in the Midwest: One University's Efforts to Reach Out to the Community

Description: After the devastating floods in March, 2019, the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) stepped up to provide outreach to their community, both in Nebraska and Iowa. A collaborative effort between the UNMC Office of Emergency Management, the McGoogan Library of Medicine, and the Human Resources department led to efforts ensuring that internal students, faculty, and staff, as well as residents of the states of Iowa and Nebraska received updated information on health and safety resources and guidelines. In this webinar, the three speakers will discuss the collaboration, their outreach efforts, and key outcomes to this point
