The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has authorized marketing of the ZIKV Detect 2.0 IgM Capture ELISA to detect Zika virus immunoglobulin (IgM) antibodies in human blood. With the marketing authorization granted for the ZIKV Detect 2.0 IgM Capture ELISA, detailed in this five-page document, FDA also has revoked the Emergency Use Authorization for this device, which was initially authorized for emergency use in 2016. This three-page report on polio is based on data for 2017 retrieved from The European Surveillance System (TESSy) on March 25, 2019. The World Health Organization (WHO) European Region was declared polio-free in 2002. Neither wild-type nor vaccine-type viruses were notified in the WHO European Region in 2017, but the risk of importation and subsequent transmission remains high in certain countries. (PDF)

This eight-page report on cases of pertussis is based on data for 2017 retrieved from The European Surveillance System (TESSy) on January 31, 2019. In 2017, 42,242 cases of pertussis were reported in European Union/European Economic Area countries. Five countries (Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, and the United Kingdom) accounted for 76 percent of all notified cases. (PDF)

In 2016, 48,446 cases of pertussis were reported in 30 European Union/European Economic Area countries. Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and the United Kingdom accounted for 68 percent of all notified cases. (PDF)
