Pharmacological treatment of inhalation injury after nuclear or radiological incidents: The Chinese and German approach
An inhalation injury by fire smoke combined with exposure to radioactivity is probably associated with further burns and/or mechanical trauma. The similarities and differences in the treatments of inhalation injury and radionuclide(s) decorporation between China and Germany are discussed in this paper. In addition to the administration of specific drugs, comprehensive therapy is crucial during the whole process. Although the details of the treatment may vary, the general therapeutic strategy is very similar in China and Germany.
