Recovery LIVE! Ethics and Boundaries in Treatment and Recovery Support Services

Thursday | July 25, 2019 | 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. EDT

SAMHSA’s Bringing Recovery Supports to Scale Technical Assistance Center Strategy (BRSS TACS) invites you to join national experts in a conversation about ethics and boundaries for providing treatment and recovery support services.
Treatment and recovery support services are provided in a variety of settings, including peer-run, recovery community, and family organizations; mental and substance use disorder service-providing agencies; hospital emergency departments; integrated healthcare clinics; and the justice system. Multidisciplinary practitioners provide a wide range of treatment and recovery support services, which can sometimes lead to unique challenges related to ethics and boundaries.
Presenters will discuss ethical considerations unique to treatment and recovery support services, approaches to ethical decision making, and how to apply ethics and boundaries to everyday interactions. They will share strategies for training, and supervising staff to support the development of ethical and competent practice.
Join us for this free, interactive virtual event moderated by Steven Samra, BRSS TACS Deputy Director.
