UBiome's founders quit — and so does interim CEO
It's been only two months since the co-founders of UBiome, the microbiome-testing startup, were placed on leave amid accusations of improper billing practices at the company and an FBI investigation. Now, Jessica Richman and Zac Apte have officially resigned, according to Business Insider and The Wall Street Journal.
Adding to the instability: John Rakow, UBiome's general counsel, who had taken over the company, has also left.
For now, the company says, UBiome will be led by three directors of consulting firm Goldin Associates who have been working with the company for a month.
