A treasure trove for the health industry

A stimulus package being assembled on Capitol Hill in response to the coronavirus pandemic could be a boon for the country's ailing economy. But it is also a veritable treasure trove for the health care industry.

As STAT's Nick Florko reports, the legislation unveiled in the Senate includes long-stalled, unrelated public health measures like some to incentivize the development of new antibiotic drugs.  That said, it’s still not clear how much the stimulus package will change before it hits the president’s desk.
