The September CCSS, “Military Health Care: Select Promising Practices,” live activity will take place from 0730-1755 (ET) on 24 September 2020. There are up to 8.0 CE/CMEs available if all courses within the series are completed.

Special Feature Webinar, 1 October 2020

The Special Feature Webinar, “Evidence-Based Methods for Sterility and High Level Disinfection Assurance: The Path to High Reliability,” live activity will take place from 1400-1555 (ET) on 1 October 2020. This Special Feature Webinar offers up to 1.5 CE/CMEs and will take place virtually.

Below are the learning objectives for this activity:
  1. Explain the business and clinical impact associated with contaminated surgical instruments.
  2. Identify the recommended elements of an effective endoscope reprocessing program.
  3. Summarize how clinical audits work, including the strengths and weaknesses of the process.
  4. Describe how clinical audits can help improve reprocessing practices to increase quality and safety.
  5. Select three common cleaning verification technologies used during the audit process and recommended elements for an effective system.
  6. Illustrate how ATP-based technology works and aligns with recommended elements.
  7. Outline how ATP-based technology, when integrated to a quality control program, helps improve quality and safety.

Target Audience

These activities are designed to meet the educational needs of Physicians, Nurses, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Physician Assistants, Optometrists, Dentists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Lab Technicians, Social Workers, Psychologists, Certified Counselors, Occupational Therapists, Kinesiotherapists, Healthcare Executives, Speech Language Pathologists, Audiologists, Registered Dieticians, Dietetic Technicians and other health care professionals who support/care for U.S. active-duty service members, reservists, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, National Guardsmen, military veterans and their families.

Please note that CE/CMEs vary per course.

Continuing Education

The DHA, J-7, CEPO awards the credits, which are limited in scope to health care providers who actively provide care to U.S. active-duty service members, reservists, National Guardsmen, military veterans and their families.
