New IDF campaign video launched
Today the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) launched its first-ever animated campaign video, bringing compelling diabetes facts to light and busting existing myths. The video calls on all viewers to take an active stance on diabetes in 2011.

Entitled ‘Act on Diabetes. Now.’ the short video is a key awareness tool in IDF’s advocacy activities in the run-up to the UN High-Level Meeting on Non-Communicable Diseases in September and afterwards for World Diabetes Day in November and the World Diabetes Congress in December. It is currently available in English, French and Spanish and will also soon be available in Arabic and Chinese.
IDF wants the world to know that the future of diabetes lies in our hands. We know what to do – we have the evidence, we have the cost-effective solutions, we have the tools and we have the skills. And with the UN High-Level Meeting, we now have the political platform to move the world from rhetoric to action.

Presentado nuevo video de la campaña de la FID
La Federación Internacional de Diabetes (FID) ha presentado hoy su primer video animado, el cual presenta hechos concluyentes sobre la diabetes y rompe con los mitos. El video hace un llamamiento a los espectadores para que tomen una postura activa contra la diabetes en 2011.

Titulado ‘Actuemos contra la Diabetes. ¡Ya!’ este video es una herramienta clave para crear conciencia en las actividades de promoción de la FID en los preliminares de la Reunión de Alto Nivel de la ONU sobre ENT en septiembre y después en el Día Mundial de la Diabetes en noviembre y el Congreso Mundial de Diabetes en diciembre. Está actualmente disponible en inglés, español y francés y estará disponible también en árabe y chino.
La FID está preparada para hacer saber al mundo que el futuro de la diabetes está en nuestras manos. Sabemos qué hacer – tenemos la evidencia, tenemos las soluciones costo-efectivas, tenemos las herramientas y la capacidad.
