Community-Acquired Pneumonia Toolkit Now with Additional Clinical Decision Support Resources on CDS Connect
AHRQ’s Community-Acquired Pneumonia Clinical Decision Support Implementation Toolkit now has additional resources on CDS Connect to help implementers incorporate the toolkit into electronic health records. The toolkit helps clinicians in emergency departments, primary care and other ambulatory settings use clinical decision support (CDS) to identify and manage patients with community-acquired pneumonia. Community-acquired pneumonia is the eighth leading cause of death in the United States. The newly available resources on CDS Connect include logic statements and other structured material to further aid development of a real-time CDS tool. The tool is adapted from the CURB-65 scoring system, which predicts deaths from community-acquired pneumonia. Access the new resources here.
