This three-page document outlines recommendations about vaccination against Ebola virus disease in the context of the outbreak in the North Kivu Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Given the continuing high case count and the risk of further spread, members of the Strategic Advisory Group of Experts (SAGE) reviewed the epidemiological situation, progression on the development of different candidate Ebola vaccines, and modeling results on the potential impact of different Ebola vaccine delivery strategies. SAGE concluded that the currently recommended strategies for rVSV-ZEBOV-GP vaccine delivery, ring vaccination, and geographic targeted vaccination are effective. (PDF)
