Getting inside the head of the PBM lobby

I sat down last week with JC Scott, the new head of the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association, better known as the pharmacy benefit manager lobby. I was determined to find out why anyone would willingly take a job defending probably the most vilified group in the drug supply chain. (Remember when Trump promised he was “very much eliminating the middlemen?”) We also talked about the hot topics of the day, including congressional oversight, PBMs’ public image, and, of course, the massive proposal from the Trump administration to basically torpedo the PBM business model.
