Upcoming Quality Payment Program Webinars in February and March
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is hosting several webinars in the upcoming weeks including a two-part webinar series to provide information about the 2019 Qualified Clinical Data Registry (QCDR) measures for the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) and an office hours session to answer questions about 2018 MIPS data submission.

2018 MIPS Data Submission Webinar:
Subject matter experts from the Center for Clinical Standards and Quality (CCSQ) will discuss frequently asked questions about submitting MIPS data through the QPP website and will answer live questions from attendees.

New MIPS Resources Available on QPP.CMS.GOV
CMS has posted the following new resources to the Quality Payment Program (QPP) Resource Library:
- 2018 Data Submission User Guide – Details how to submit data to the Quality Payment Program (QPP) for the 2018 performance period.
- 2019 Claims Data Submission Fact Sheet – Provides an overview of the process for collecting and submitting 2019 data for the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Quality performance category through Medicare Part B claims.
- 2019 QCDR Measure Specifications –This excel file provides detailed measure specifications for 2019 Qualified Clinical Data Registries (QCDRs) measures and corresponding calculations.
- 2019 MIPS Data Validation Criteria – Lists the 2019 criteria used to audit and validate data submitted in each of the Merit-based Incentive Payment (MIPS) performance categories. Currently, data validation criteria is only available for the Improvement Activities performance category.
- 2019 Improvement Activities Performance Category Fact Sheet – Provides an overview of the 2019 Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Improvement Activities performance category.
- 2019 Facility-based Measurement Fact Sheet - Describes the process used to assess performance at the facility level for select Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) eligible clinicians, groups, and virtual groups whose primary health care responsibilities take place in hospital settings.
We also recently released a series of demo videos to:
- Provide step-by step instructions on how to navigate the new HCQIS Access Roles and Profile (HARP) System, and
- Explain how to submit and review your 2018 MIPS data through the QPP website.
