You all read my story last week on baseball arbitration, right?
Last week, I was dispatched to MedPAC, the meeting of congressional Medicare advisors, to hear their thoughts on a few splashy new ideas for bringing down the cost of prescription drugs. One idea in particular really got my attention: so-called baseball arbitration. Needless to say, MedPAC isn’t the only one talking about the idea. This Friday, the National Coalition on Health Care will hold a briefing on Capitol Hill on this very topic. Among the speakers, Harvard’s Richard Frank, an alum of Obama’s HHS and one of the architects of the idea.
