NCCIH Job Openings: Program Director and Program Specialist
The NCCIH Division of Extramural Research has two job openings related to the National Institutes of Health HEAL (Helping to End Addiction Long-term) Initiative.
- We’re seeking a Program Director to manage and foster a portfolio of clinical grants, including HEAL-funded projects focused on pragmatic clinical trials to improve pain management within health care systems, and clinical trials of behavioral interventions to improve adherence to medications for opioid use disorder treatment. In addition, the Program Director’s portfolio will include awards for clinical trials of natural products, including botanicals, vitamins, and dietary supplements. This position provides an opportunity to impact priorities and develop new research initiatives and plays a leading role in the advancement of complementary and integrative health clinical research. - We’re seeking a Program Specialist to provide analytic, scientific, and administrative support to our portfolio of clinical grants including HEAL-funded programs. Strong applicants will have experience conducting research portfolio or program analysis and working on clinical trials from early-phase studies to large-scale pragmatic designs; excellent administrative coordination skills; workshop and meeting planning experience; and scientific expertise in areas such as pain, substance abuse, complementary or integrative health approaches, and/or natural products.
