Animated stories of medical error as a means of teaching undergraduates patient safety: an evaluation study.

Simulation is an effective tool for teaching health care learners patient safety concepts, but it does not scale easily to large groups. Researchers created animated stories to depict patient safety events and delivered them to 200 medical students, most of whom thought the stories would alter their future practice. A PSNet perspective delineates the evidence base for simulation as a safety tool.
