Given the recent introduction and outbreaks of emerging mosquito-borne diseases such as Zika, coupled with increased insecticide resistance in mosquitoes, Harris County, Texas, Public Health looked globally for innovative ideas and alternative methods to improve its vector surveillance and control services.
