The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) Center for Evidence and Practice Improvement (CEPI) (http://www.ahrq.gov/cpi/centers/cepi/index.html) has an exciting opportunity to join the Agency as the Scientific Director for the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF). 
The Scientific Director for the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) is responsible for supervising a professional staff to support day-to-day operations of the USPSTF, coordinating the production of evidence reports, ensuring consistent use of USPSTF methods, and assisting with dissemination of USPSTF materials and recommendations. The Scientific Director sets the strategic direction for the Division, develops, executes and manages the Division budget and provides leadership and direction for prevention activities at AHRQ. The Scientific Director will have a major impact on national recommendations for preventive services delivered in primary care settings and on the national agenda for health services research related to prevention.
Candidates should have clinical skills related to the delivery of preventive services in primary care settings and research skills to oversee systematic reviews of the evidence supporting clinical preventive services. A medical degree (MD/DO or equivalent) is also required.
