This 26-page document is a compilation of resources to support a healthcare organization’s planning for high consequence infectious diseases (HCIDs) requiring airborne isolation plus contact isolation plus eye protection for healthcare workers and other staff who encounter the patient. Pathogens that fall in to this category include Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS), Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), and the 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). The resources will enhance the ability to follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Identify, Isolate, and Inform algorithm, which is included in the document. (PDF)
