The Minority Research Grant Program just released a Notice of Funding Opportunity for HBCUs, HSIs, AANAPISIs, and TCUs
Administered by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Office of Minority Health (CMS OMH), the Minority Research Grant Program is excited to release a notice of funding opportunity for researchers at minority serving institutions (MSIs). This funding opportunity will allow MSI faculty and students a way to build their portfolios while funding studies pertinent to the health care needs of racial and ethnic minorities, rural residents, people with disabilities, and the LGBTQ community. Two awards will be made to one or more eligible institutions.

The notice of funding opportunity grants researchers at minority serving institutions up to $250,000 to further health equity research to better meet the health care needs of racial and ethnic minorities, rural residents, people with disabilities, and the LGBTQ community.
Eligible institutions include:
  • Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs)
  • Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs)
  • Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs)
  • Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs)
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 3pm ET.
