Now Available: Webcast Replay of “Implementation of an Event Reporting and Learning System Leads to Improvements in Patient Safety Culture at UNC Medical Center”

This AHRQ webcast highlighted an event reporting initiative from the University of North Carolina Medical Center (UNCMC) that led to improvement in staff perceptions of their organization’s culture of patient safety. Speakers discussed how implementation of a new event reporting system in UNC’s outpatient Radiation Oncology Department led to improvement on the Surveys on Patient Safety Culture™ (SOPS™) Medical Office Survey. Building on this initial success, UNCMC embarked on a journey to improve the event reporting system and SOPS throughout the Medical Center.
