Only about 20% of life sciences executives in the U.K. are women
The leadership advisory and executive searches services company Liftstream just released a report about diversity in the C-suite of life sciences companies in the U.K., and women make up only 21% of executives. Here's more:
- The report: The report examined 132 life sciences companies across the U.K., 70 of which were privately held companies, and looked at the makeup of these companies' board of directors and executive leadership.
- Gender diversity: Women represent less than 15% of directors, although this figure was slightly higher in public companies. Only about 1 in 5 of the people in executive leadership were women.
- Racial diversity: Only 7% of directors were racial minorities, a figure that is smaller among public companies.
