Trump moves to cap Medicare's insulin costs
The Trump administration has unveiled a program aimed at lowering the out-of-pocket costs for Medicare beneficiaries who use insulin. Insulin has become a key flashpoint in the debate over drug prices, and the new initiative is meant to limit what Medicare enrollees pay to $35 a month. The program would only apply to some Medicare plans, and manufacturers and insurers would have to agree to the caps. The program could go into effect in October, a prime moment in the 2020 election. More on the program here.
